The new storeOS is an operating system that changes the way CVS and their retail employees operate. By innovating new technologies, keeping things simple, storeOS manages all of the employees’ day to day tasks and benefits the customer.
Our team created 5 high-fidelity prototypes (workstation, mobile devices and tablet) in light and dark mode that focuses on personalized messaging, invisible UI, proactive alerts - all in one place. As the Lead UI designer, I focused on creating the design style and prototyping.
This design was handed off to CVS’ internal development team after our project phase.
Concept
UI Exploration
These concepts were used to show how digital elements come to life in one overall look and feel. They guide the UI design aesthetic, bring the brand forward, and keep the approach of the simplicity as the focus. I focused on creating these concepts with the inspiration of neumorphism as the focal point for both directions to emphasize on simplicity.
The client chose option 1 to maintain the clean look.
Design
Conceptual to Implementation
At our initial meeting with the client, they showed our team their ideas and goals for their concept. With their original conceptual draft, our team was tasked to focus on how we can create simplicity and intuition for their in-store employees through intentional color-coordinated, updated UI such as icons and alerts.
Light and Dark Mode
With the design team, I intigrated light and dark mode flexibility for employees to have the opportunity to use either modes while working to limit eye strain. We incorporated all dark mode screens to the final deliverable.
