Wabash Commerce is a marketplace platform for truck companies to purchase bulk supplies of vehicle parts. It is a platform that creates an convenient experience for purchases, returns and order management for individuals and teams.

I led the MVP+ commerce experience and worked closely with the business team, creative director, and UI designer to redesign five key process workflows – Customer/Dealer Setup, Product Setup & Maintenance, Checkout & Transactions, Post-Sales Support, and Promotion Management.

MVP Objectives

01

Offerings to ensure availability and access
to 246k stocked and non-stocked parts

02

Capabilities through core commerce
functionality with minimal integrations and
a lean team from Wabash support

03

Traffic to secure level of engagement by
delivering a new user experience vs legacy commerce

04

Profit by optimizing profitability by shifting
orders to self-service and managing against margin targets

Problem

An Opportunity for a Personalized and Direct Experience

Due to its high volume of dealers, customer accounts and 246k products, users have a difficult time searching and ordering. My first priority was to create a concise and inuitive navigation system and user flow for customers and dealers to access.

Refreshed Visuals and Design System

Wabash requested that the visual design reflect their current modern branding. Per Wabash’s ask, the UI Designer and I worked closely to create a design system that reflected their current modern branding.

Solution

Personalized product offerings

Designed a personalized shopping experience that enhances brand awareness, guiding users from the homepage to tailored recommendations and saved products curated to their preferences.

Convenient product filtering, ordering and tracking

To enhance user engagement, our team prioritized seamless product and order access. We designed a stream-lined filtering system that helps users easily navigate a large inventory without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, we focused on simplifying the shopping experience by making it easy to add products to carts and implementing an intuitive order tracking page, allowing users to view and manage all their orders within their account.

Hi-fi WireframesThe UI Designer and I coordinated with the development team weekly to make sure all wireframes supported their needs for product launch. We created an inuitive design system for them to follow for all necessary component and wireframe information.
